Commutick shows live public transport times in Ireland. We collect as little as possible: there are no accounts, no ads and no tracking.
Location
When you search for stops near you, or when the app works out which commute you're on, your phone's approximate location is sent to our server to look up nearby stops. It is used only to answer that request. It is not stored against you, not linked to your identity and never sold or shared.
Your commutes
Your home, work and departure times are stored on your iPhone. To show times, the app asks our server for departures at specific stops and routes; those requests don't include your name or any account.
Lock Screen countdown and alerts
If you start a Lock Screen countdown or an arrival alert, your device sends us a push token issued by Apple so our server can update the countdown. The token is deleted when the countdown ends.
Free month and subscriptions
To give each iPhone one free month of Pro, the app creates a random install ID that contains nothing about you. Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, card or Apple ID. To check that a subscription is active, the app sends us Apple's signed receipt.
What we don't do
- No advertising or ad tracking
- No analytics or third-party SDKs that profile you
- No selling or sharing of data
Data sources
Transport data comes from the National Transport Authority and Transport Infrastructure Ireland under CC BY 4.0.
